SUPPORT & SERVICE

Our AmeriCorps members provide unique support in Springfield schools through their dedication and commitment to the young people in our city. Current AmeriCorps members work closely with emerging bilingual students, help to reduce chronic absenteeism, and support remedial education in all subjects. 


As a host partner with DIAL/SELF, our members get training to be successful role models and leaders for students. We plan to expand our programming to reach more students and increase support for identified areas of need in schools in the near future. 

"With a desire to empower young minds and bridge linguistic gaps, I've committed myself to volunteering with HYF and AmeriCorps. My goal is to assist children in learning English, opening doors to a world of opportunities and fostering a sense of unity among a diverse community."
